In October I took Ashlyn and Nathan to Oak Glen to pick fruit and some pumpkins. We had a lot of fun. We went on kind of a cloudy/rainy day, but we still managed to pick raspberries, apples and some pumpkins.

After the wedding (Pictures to follow) Jaimie and Aaron came over to our house to open their presents.

They got quite a lot of good stuff to start their new life together.
In August my sister got engaged! We were very excited. Aaron was away at boot camp (he is a Marine) so we had to plan the wedding in about ten weeks. After boot camp he had ten days of leave. We managed to pack everything into that very busy week. On Tuesday Jaimie went though the temple for the first time. Here are a few of the pictures we took outside of the temple. (There are more, but I think they are on my parents camera.)

Jaimie with Richard and Lynn. They came all the way from Scotland to be at the wedding.

In the fall we signed Ashlyn up for Adventures in Pee Wee Sports. It was a six week long program where they took turns playing basketball, soft ball, and soccer. Jarom was so excited. I think he had been waiting for her to participate in sports since she was born.

She looked so cute in her pee wee shirt.

When we got there she wasn't quite so out going as we had hoped. She did in the end play a little bit of all of the sports.

And this is what Nathan did while he waited for Ashlyn to be done. Here is is playing with Courtney's ipod which is his favorite thing to do!

At the beginning of August we went down to Jaroms parents condo in Laguna Nigel and stayed for a few days. It was so nice. The weather was awesome and we had a lot of fun.

There is a really fun park within walking distance of the condo, and the kids loved playing there.

On one of the days we were there we decided to take the kids to Sea World. It was the first time they had been there and they were so excited. On our way to Sea World we drove past the San Diego temple. That is where Jarom and I got married. Ashlyn was so excited to see it in real life. (The picture isn't very good I was taking it from inside the car.)

Here we are at Sea World.

Ashlyn and Nathan loved meeting Elmo and Cookie Monster.

After Sea World we drove over to Coronado. Jarom and I got engaged in front of Hotel Del Coronado on the beach. It was nice going back and being able to take the kids.

We had a really fun time and plan on doing it again next year. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Viehweg for letting us stay at the condo.
In July we drove up to Utah to surprise Laurel for her birthday. She knew her mum and dad were coming, but she didn't know that Jarom and I and our kids, and Jess and Todd and Luke were coming too. She had no idea we were coming the look on her face was priceless when she saw Ashlyn walking up to her apartment.

On Sunday afternoon we drove up to the Provo Temple and walked around. Ashlyn and Nathan loved walking around and looking at all the pretty flowers. Here is Laurel with Ashlyn and Luke.

All of us outside the Provo Temple.

We stayed in Salt Lake so we took a day to go walk around Temple Square.

Ashlyn inside the Tabernacle.

Inside the Visitors Center.

It is so hard to get these kids to look at the camera at the same time.

Ashlyn outside the Salt Lake Temple.

Ashlyn inside the conference center. She couldn't get over how big it was in there.

I also just realized that I need to take Nathan out of his stroller more and get him in some of these pictures too. I will have to be better about that.
This summer Ashlyn took swimming lessons for the first time. For the first two weeks we took a parent and child class. She did really well and was ready to move on to pollywog's. I didn't know how she would do with out me being right there with her in the water, but she did great and is ready to move on to the next level.

All ready for swim class. Isn't she adorable!

I didn't get any pictures of Ashlyn and I in our class, but here are some of her in her class.

She really didn't want to put that life jacket on, but she did! I was so surprised!

Here is Ashlyn and her swim instructor Miss Jordan. She was so good with Ashlyn she even told the boy lifeguards not to come over as Ashlyn didn't like them coming too close to her. As soon as swim lessons were over she was asking when she could go back. I Can't wait for next year to see what she will learn.

Below is a couple of videos of her swimming.
